The Christmas Presence Series: Introduction

It’s getting to that time of year again, where we better not shout, better not cry, better not pout, and I’ll tell you why….because there is this big, old construct called ‘Christmas’ which has rolled into town, bells jingling, and lights atwinkling. It’s time to make merry, exude goodwill to all, and dance around like the sparkly festive elf you know you are (on some level).

I love Christmas, however, I can find myself caught up in all the busyness of it, which leaves me feeling tired, and about as luminescent as a forgotten chunk of last year’s Christmas pud.

For me, Christmas joy, jiggles, and jollity is all about presence: that’s being present in the moment, being present with loved ones, and seeing myself as a presence rather than a fixed entity, who must always behave according to ascribed character or assigned social role. It is about going with the flow, letting go of judgemental thinking, and finding time to quiet down.

Between now and January 6th I am doing a series of 12 videos about Christmas Presence. I would love for you to join me in an exploration of how presence figures in our experiences, and how it works.

Please do come chat, either by leaving comments, or joining the Mamajestic Facebook group.

You can also subscribe to my videos via YouTube, or follow my blog to make sure you receive all 12.

Do share this with anyone you think would enjoy exploring Christmas Presence. The more the merrier!

Looking forward to taking this journey with you.

Lots of love,
